When you record a macro in Microstation there is no clear indication that you are in the process of recording. The only way for you to know that you are recording is to look at the Macro pallet on the Utilities tab.

In Excel there is a little square in the lower left indicating that you are recording. In AutoCAD there is a little red circle by the cursor to let you know that you are recording.

Having a visual indicator will help myself and others to stay focused until they are done recording the macro. I am often interrupted or pulled away from my desk in the middle of recording a macro and usually have start all over.
