Overhaul the current Line Style Editor user interface.
It is very non-intuitive and difficult to work with, which discourages both CAD administrators and the more tech savvy CAD users from creating custom line styles.
Changes to the functionality and underlying technology of custom line styles should be given lower priority, since there is not much value in enhancing a tool that users struggle to work with.
Also, when counting votes, please consider the fact that this problem primarily impacts CAD administrators, since most users become overwhelmed and quickly give up when trying to learn the tool. Also, please consider the fact that many CAD administrators support hundreds of users.
How is it that we still have the same Line Style Editor from the 90s from, version 5 of MicroStation? Why don't we have a more modern way to create line styles? Building dynamic graph line styles should be done simply and easily. We should be able to place a cell, text, and some lines and group them together in a DGN file and quickly decide if it also needs to be annotative or true scale and start using it in our standards. Please bring this tool in the future.
