Point Symbols should be editable just as any regular geometry can be altered. -Select a Point Symbol, -Edit, add or remove geometry,-Save,-Linestyle is updated.

Yes indeed.
Right now one can delete these symbol by keyIn "DELETE SYMBOL symbolname".
But first you need to figure out the name of said symbol.
You need to KeyIn that command with the symbol name, without any errors.
You need to repeat that for each and every symbol name that you wish to delete.
You cannot select the name and Copy/paste it into that KeyIn for removal.

I would like to see this as a complete overhaul of the line style editor. It hasn't been updated since it was first introduced in the early 1990's.

An overhaul of that interface has been asked for in the past many times. Luckily also in the IDEA section. I recommend you vote that one up as well.
