Fence stretching smart solids was common place in v8i, but the tool is clumsy at best with parametric solids it adds un-wanted nodes and clutters up the properties menu. I imagine some users like myself would prefer it just stretch the underlying geometry and modify those root features. This would bring back the ability to stretch and manipulate many elements at once easily and not overly complicate elements with extra nodes.
I understand some users may want to keep the existing functionality in connect if the option exited even as a toggle within preferences or on tool use to how your fencing tools worked that would be great.

We are going to disable the Fence Stretch Option for Parametric Solids.
Tamicca,
Any/all "parametric" solid ideally to include parametric solids generated from 2D cells and an option not to create another property tree history and to grab any features found inside the fence to move as if they where grabbed and moved individually.
Hello Grant Wood,
Thank you for posting your suggestion. It's a great idea for future consideration. If possible, could you specify the element type you're working with when using the tool? Also, more detail on the type of geometry you work with would also be helpful.

Didn't think that you could stretch Parametric Solids. An example vid would be great!

Hmm you used to be able too maybe now you can't do it at all? I haven't messed with it beyond like U10 because of how broken the property tree got. I guess maybe they need to fix it first.

I lately tried to strech a simple steel sheet model (extruded a 3mm shape with two bends) I was not able to stretch that until it was dropped to a smartsolid. I was stunned.
