3Dconnexion provides devices for CAD use partly with 3D navigation and partly through quick shortcuts to the selected command in the current software.

Bentley Microstation lacks the ability to access/select software tools through buttons on 3D-connexion devices. This works via other software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft excell or even Microsoft paint… But it does not work with tools in Microstation products. You can only access some view options in microstation, no tools.

This applies regardless of which 3Dconnexion product you use, CAD mouse, Space Mouse wireless or Space mouse enterprise. It makes no difference which product or driver is used.
