View Rotate Element to set the correct rotation

When using the command View Rotate Element on a text element rotates the view so that the text rotates to the nearest quadrant. For example if the text is close to upside down it will rotate the text to upside down instead of rotating the view so the text gets readable on the screen. It did work in V8i. Maybe there could be on option to rotate to closest quadrant or to be readable.

    Hi Mats,

I am able to reproduce your problem in MicroStation 2024 and also see that it worked in MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4). There appears to have been a code change that we will need to review and address. I will come back and update the comments when we have it planned.

    Agreed!

I have also posted a similar idea for a 180° option, for text placed along an element (common in OpenRoads on alignments). So that when views are rotated, the text will only rotate by 180° to remain in position relative to the element it is annotating and readable on a sheet.

    Hello Mats,

I cannot locate the key-in VIEW ROTATE ELEMENT. Is the key-in you're referring to ROTATE VIEW ELEMENT?
