I would like to have a cell editor - like in the competition product - If you drop a cell you e.g. loose crucial information like the origin, the name.
It could work like the "edit" command in the Cell library dialog, where you jump into the cell library. (Could be creating an intermediate model inside the file and then replacing the cell when done)
With a cell editor it should be easy to move around parts of a cell and still maintain the whole cell when you close it. If you have nested cells you can move around the contained cells.
If you have an annotation cell you could move the graphics relative to the origin so you easily define the "direction" where the annotation scaling is going. E.g a title block cell used with annotation scale goes nicely with the drawings anntotation scale. But if you need to edit something in the title block you loose the origin
Please add to this list if you have use cases for this
10.17.02.61 includes Graphic and Shared Cells as a TP... with two caveats
These options are not available for cells that are part of the attached references.
These options do not apply to cells nested within placed cells.
Not being able to edit Cells in Refs is an inconvenience. Hopefully, this will work when the user Activates the Ref. Please ensure that this is possible.
This is more problematic. Possible in ACAD and BRICSCAD, Sketchup. Please provide roadmap.
Update 17 (10.17.00.209) provides this for Parametric Cells only. This idea includes Graphic / Shared Cells which are much more prevalent. Please do not close until all Cell types can be edited in place.
Hi Eduardo, any updates on this feature?
Hello Gerd, thank you very much for the idea. We are currently investigating Cell Editor and will get back to you on this enhancement.

I think the implementation of such feature can be easily joined with an implementation of "in place cell modification", that also has been requested many times.
