Auto Update Parametric Cells has been introduced in Mstn 17. As mentioned elsewhere this functionality would be good to extend to Graphic / Shared Cells.

Looking at the blog entry, the AUPC tool triggers when a Cell library is attached. This is OK as a starting point. But it would be good to update the Open for Editing tool

THe Open for Editing tool only works when you right-click the Cell in the Cell Library. This is OK for the old static Cell (symbols, annotation etc) workflows, but for not for today's more dynamic requirements.The Open for Edit tool should be available in the right-click menu when the user selects a Cell in the active model or Ref attachment.

Mstn's Auto Update tool then scan MS_CELLIST, attach the Cell lib, highlights the selected Cell. The user then right-clicks and opens the external model / file. The user can already use the command line to type 'AC= Name of Cell to be edited' and attach the corresponding library. So, the plumbing is already in place but not joined up? Mstn U17.1?
