Add support for variables to the standard Array/Copy/Move/Rotate tools
After hearing some requests, I am gauging the appetite for adding variables to the 2D or "standard" (not the feature modeling) Array, Copy/Move and Rotate tools. Please vote this if it you think it is a priority
Hi Steven, I mean transforming the current array tool into a parametric tool, like the one in the feature modeling but that will work with all MS elements, not just with solids and features. The row/column n. and spacing will support both "parametric variables" or numerical value and you will be able to go back and change these as Dominic correctly mentioned.
Similar to AutoCAD's PA's work, it would be good to have the current array tool feature a 'parametric' or persistent option.please include the ability to suppress any member of the array.please provide the usual grips to allow the array parameters...
Parametric Cells - Dynamic arrays of elements or cells via constraints/parameters
Merged
Currently there is no way toassign constraints to arrays of elements. It would be very useful to be able to dynamically control an array via it's host element and parametric constraints. Example: A parametric cell of handrail;when the handrail ali...

By variables, I presume that the arrays etc will be persistent.... so that the user can come back and parametrically adjust things?

Yes - We need this kind of functionality if we are going to create parametric 2D content.
