Combined move/copy/rotate function

User wants to be able to move an object and emmidiately start rotating it after placing. This would save time in the part where you have to reselect and snap the object again. Similar for a copy command.

Also a checkbox to turn the move tool into a copy tool vice versa would speed thing up.

When placing cells, we have the opportunity to interactively scale and rotate them during placement. When copying these cells (or any element) we have to resort to three separate commands: Copy, Scale and Rotate.

Light poles along a street is a good example provided by the previous commenter.

An example use-case I can think of would be adding a bunch of light poles along a curved road where each pole needs to be oriented (rotated) and offset from the previous pole.

    Hi Ivo,

Thanks for filing this interesting idea.

Can you give an example about you use case/workflow please?

How many object do you want to move? Why not selecting all objects at once move and rotate together? (I guess you don't do that as you want/must move/rotate them individually, right?

    Thanks

a checkbox to turn the move tool into a copy tool was available in versions before V8i.
