A mini overview or navigation window would be help to easier see where you are in a design. It should show you the whole of the graphic content (fit view? or a specificly defined larger area?) and the area emphasized that one is working in active view currently. I know you can set up something like that with a separate view yourself. It should be shown there all the time - the example shows that it is only showing the area while while picking an area per "Window Area.

This navigation view should be available there per default.
