I'd love to have an option to use the text blocks for text backgrounds and background lines instead of having this optiononly for single lines in order to prevent behaviour as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

Hi I just wanted to clarify that this enhancement should include ability to apply text mask / fill / background to Text Frames (all types of them) as part of Dimension Style to evenly fill entire shape of the frame.

Also there is need to have not only box but a circle around text as text style formatting option.

Using notes it is possible to achieve this(set Text frame as box) but it will be complex element not just text:

But this will show box around all elements and unfortunately not only texts. There is no option to do the same using text styles.

You are so right. I am losing faith in MicroStation over these things missing. Time is so important in this field.
