Selecting element will highlight the reference and the level inside the level manager

I am currently working on a design file with a very complex reference structure. is there a way I can select object in my model so that it highlights the particular reference in which that objects belong in the reference manager or level manager. this becomes very useful as I have a lot of duplicate references in my hierarchy and the level display is not intelligent enough to meet this demand
