"Hatch pattern" - disable "Associative boundary" when we select "Element" button

It does not make sense that "Associative boundary" is enabled if you select the "Element" button... because the element will be part of the pattern..

    You can select an element in a reference. The assoc. boundary then is in the local file (e.g. sheet model)
