This is a new View Control toggle to align the grid [if display is enabled] with the Active Coordinate System, or the Global Coordinate System [Monument Point]
It can be a sub-set of the existing Grid Toggle.
Currently we use this KeyIn command, which is actually a toggle command, so running it a second time [by mistake] aligns the grid display back to the Monument coordinate system [the default].
The command has been around since the 2008 builds arrived that integrated AccurDraw a lot more.
Many 3D modellers use the grid, and it is available on many 3D modelling platforms by default, and the grid display is aligned with the design plane instead of the View, by default.
It should be more readily accessible rather than an obscure KeyIn command.
It is particularly useful when using multiple ACSs coordinates in a 3D space so that when I navigate between each ACS the grid follows me in alignment with that ACS.

The KeyIn Command is quite old and an Accudraw integration command:

I use it in a KeyIn string. [set the grid as well]

I think that the old behaviour was when the ACS Lock is on, the grid follows the ACS. Testing this on OBD 2024, it seems that the grid jumps to the ACS when the user selects the ACS in the ACS dialog. Probably a good thing...?
In any case, is this not what you want?

There is already an ACS Picker tool. I would make the ACS Picker part of the View Window bar as a drop down. The View Attributes drop down is too large, distracting when made visible. Klunky.
Also, since each View Window can have a different ACS, it will make intuitive sense to have the ACS controls next to the other View Window controls. Especially as the ACS is now being used to define the Grid display.
The ACS dialog is too big, old and never really worked very well.
Inherently poor human factors design. Have to stare at the ACS dialog and look for the View Nr.s to use. 1. Move focus award from View Window contents. 2. Note View Window. 2. Place Line click 3. Move to another View Window to click next point for Line. ACS Dialog does not switch to the new View Window and is now showing out of date ACS info*. The shade of blue that the Active Window is too close to the inactive ones. Adds to the confusion, attention overheads.
*Yes, what you have to do is to click on the View Window top bar to update the ACS dialog. A clumsy ACAD Viewport style move.
