Mstn's Ctrl-G creates Orphan Cells. This is a pretty useful tool that is still being used today, especially since Ctrl-U allows the user to ungroup the Cell for quick editing.
The Orphan Cells can also be named via the Properties Panel which is very handy.
But the Replace Cell does not appear to honour the named Orphan Cell. Do OCs have a different Element Type number which is screened out? Or is it because there are 'missing' elements like an insertion point? This could be generated by using the centroid, or prompting the user.
It would be good to enhance the RC tool to honour, convert named Orphan Cells.
