Data-centric BIM has long been seen as the replacement for CAD. Revit is now synonymous with data-centric BIM workflows. By acknowleding that it's big ponderous clients needed a gradual transition or 'ramp' from CAD to BIM workflows, Mstn kind of missed riding the CAD2BIM conversion wave.
OTOH, a lot of data-centric processes were supported by Axiom's various tools, but not widely adopted in the SME market due to perceived costs. Mgmt commonly will not authorise purchase because usage was seen as too episodic, CAD admin only.
Fast forward 20+ years a lot more data-centric workflows are becoming commonplace.
Rather than finding competent devs and re-inventing the wheel it would be great if Axiom's tools could be incorporated into Mstn.
Options:
Buy Axiom and include as standard in Mstn.
Bundle Axiom, Bentley Class Editor etc as a Speckle-type companion app.
Offer up and support Axiom as a standalone app on Virtuosity
