At the current state of Microstation Connect changing several texts with different justifications to the one I use, or that my company requires me to use, results in the texts changing positions, and consecuently I need to reposition every single one of the texts.
I've also filed a service request on this issue years ago.
In MicroStation V8 it worked fine but Bentley changes this (as far as I remeber) with the release of V8i!
Back then I was told this is WAD (Works as Designed) and that this is how Office programs work! I argued that MicroStation isn't a Office program and that precise coordinates is vital in a cad program ...but no changes in their opinion!
One of the problems is when using right justification AND spaces in the end of the text.
When placing this text MicroStation just ignores the spaces and place the text orgin at the end of the last "non-space" character! Futhermore: if you afterwards change the text justification from right to left MicroStation then moves the text origin to the right in a distance who is equal to the number of spaces at the end of the text!
Yeah, has taken a while. This seems to be a fundamental behaviour to have. Would solve a great many things it the change was extended to text in Cells, Dimension and Text Nodes.
I agree. We have been asking for an option to change justification without shifting text position for years. I know that there were previous Ideas suggesting this, but they seem to have "aged out" of the system.
