Pivot Table functionality for Reports

I have found the "Reports" function in microstation to be very useful in itemizing and summarizing different item type properties. However, I have also found it to be very limiting. I would like to see enhancements in this area that draw similarities to the way we can create Pivot Tables in Excel to generate a report.


For example, I want to build a report that uses the individual values of a specific Item Type to be column headings, and another item type property to be used as row headings. Then, I would want to itemize out the table based on matching the row and column values. I would also want to summarize a row, and have that summary as a column (Currently, we can only summarize a column, and that summary is placed as a row).

    I like this idea! Only couple of software's I know of that offer this functionality, Excel, PowerBI and BIMCollab Zoom which is an IFC file viewer used in BIM workflows.
    Since the reports are very similar to schedules in BIM workflows I think the use of Pivot Table functionality in Microstation would add a similar benefit.
