I construct a lot of very large jacket structures and often use shelled solid cylinders to built them, stating the obvious here but in order to do this I create tubular members representing the structural framework, I go over the structure inward shelling the cylinders according to the wall thickness of the respective members. To do this, I have to rotate the cylinder then pick one end, rotate the cylinder once again and pick the other end to achieve a tubular with the correct wall thickness.
Since tubulars are a fundimental building block of the engineering and construction industries then we should have a one click option to pick a cylinder (anywhere, not just the ends) having entered a wall thickness.
The above would apply to solids created using a circle extruded along an offset centre line using the 'Solid By Extrusion Along' tool
For myself and others that deal with pipes and tubulars structures on a day to day basis I am sue they will agree that this will save a great deal of time and effort.
