Now that we have the ability to add tables to our DGN files. We can add the areas of many shapes to the table. It would be very useful to have an option to calculate the sum of all the areas. At the moment we have to copy/paste this into excel to get the results. I want to have more Excel tools within the Tables.

Hi Ian, if you are referring to Tables which are not linked to a Report (we added aggregates and sums for reprots in U15 as public beta feature), this is something we can evaluate for a future release.
Tables are not designed as Excel substitute so can't support a comparable number of funtction and operations.

FWIW our TagWorks products offer aggregates...

MicroStation CONNECT Update 15 will offer aggregates in reports. A table reflects the design of the report that it renders.
Ian Lapper wrote, "I want to have more Excel tools within the Tables".
I doubt that Bentley want tables to behave like Excel: where would the list of tools stop?
