When moving texts I often want to place them right in the center of another object, e. g. a rectangle.
When manipulating objects like circles, ellipses, rectangles, polygons etc. I can pick their very center. If texts span over more than one line I can only pick the center of the individual lines but not the very center of the whole text array.
Idea: please enable picking the very center of a multi-line text.
Was curious so I tested it. Using all the snaps: keypoint, center, origin, or mid-point, it does not find the center of the text node. When using multi-snap I do get the center of the node. The one snap in my multi-snap config that works is the near-point snap, it will get the center of the node.
@Karol Kempski: would you please revert the Status back to "needs review"? The idea does not exist as asked for.
We have checked that with the Dev leader, and it works, can you send a short video of what exactly you are doing?
You should change the status back as it doesn't already exist!
@Karol: that only works for individual lines, not for the whole text as an entity. Just checked again.
