The building industry (buildingSMART) has introduced a means of communicating issues in multi-user models. This is a simple xml file accompanied by one or many pixel images. The xml contains a written description of the problem, the GUID of the objects concerned and the xyz coordinates of the camera and its orientation showing the issue. These bcf files may contain one or a number of issues. Each could be imported into Microstation's Saved View Manager. This would be extremely useful if many devices (robots, framers etc) are deployed in a large industrial surrounding with every area looking very much alike. It would keep the users from fiddling with parts in an altogether wrong part of an estate that looked right.
