Is there a way to limit the dashed hidden lines to those ares behind a transparent material only?

At the moment, if you switch hidden lines on, all hidden edges are shown.... making the view unreadable.

It would be better if the hidden lines were restricted only those areas 'behind' transparent objects. Ie only the dashed edges behind glazing/windows would be visible?
