Working in 3d always means using the DV cropping and cut plane functionality to 'peel back' the model in order to see and snap to the salient geometry, ie to do any work.
To do this properly, the DV handles need to always visible, within the bounds of the View Window. This is currently not the case. The cut plane handle is always in the middle of the Clip Volume. Similarly the Cropping handles are always at the edge of the Clip Volume. This forces the user to zoom out / in a lot or have another View Window open, duplicate the settings etc just to have the handles accessible.
Could the DVs be enhanced to have the handles move to the edge of the View Windows when the user zooms in and the whole Clip Volume is not visible, please? I think that OBD's Grid tool does something similar. This would make DVs that much more usable and less klunky.
