In many situations, we want to repath ProjectWise References in bulk when data is being archived, duplicated, etc. Currently, the only way there looks to do this is via ProjectWise Scan Refs or to reattach references one by one manually. Noting that ProjectWise references can be attached by path using the RF= keyin, adding a way to repath references directly in Microstation using a similar method would make it much easier and quicker for users to do this as they would outside of ProjectWise.
Hi Tamicca, I have been advised previously by Bentley (and other users) that RFDIR should not be used in the ProjectWise environment. I believe this is to do with the data links between documents in ProjectWise that links reference by GUID and not local paths, etc.
Hi Mark, as you mentioned, this can already be done in ProjectWise, and in MicroStation, we recommend using the MS_RFDIR configuration variable for each project as explained in the following wiki https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/8919/understanding-file-locations-and-reference-attachments-in-microstation
Would this work for you?
