A configuration variable to turned caps on in MicroStation only, and have the ability to use shift key to type a single character in lower case when needed will do.
Why is that a good idea? The keyboard's Caps Lock does exactly that.
A better suggestion is that provided by Johan De Cock: create a MicroStation Text Style that is all caps. That would provide all the benefits of text styles with no modification of the text editor.
Would this be similar to the "String Format" in the Fields Editor?
When reading this my first thought was 'Doesn't this already exist'. But then I looked where I used it and indeed it only works for text fields (properties, item types, ...) The options exist for "Upper", "Lower", "First Capital" and "Title".
Is this what you propose to have in the Text Style or even plainly in the Text Editor?
