The "mesure Distance" (Method= Along Element) is bad designed.

MicroStation CE 14

The "mesure Distance" (Method= Along Element) is bad designed when I want to mesure the distance (on the white element) between 2 intersections.

To this tool, at least 2 points are needed (the first point must be picked on the element to identity the element). The second one and the rest of points are not needed to be on the element (they are projected to the element).

To pick the first point I use the snap nearest or "key point snap", but I can´t use the "key point snap" to the red element because I amb considering the white element as element.

The issue in the following scenario is I should select first the element, then pick the first point (using key point snap on the red line)..... and I can´t because this tool always take the selection of the element from the first Data Point.

So I thinkt that the "tool settings" for this tool, when we select Method = Along Element, should have a checkbox = "Select element before" to change the sequence: First select element, then pick the first point, ....

Also it seems that there is a bug when this tool tries to highlight the path between points.

If I pick 2 points on the first segment of the entity, the tool highlights then entiry first segment of the element.
