1-In the attached image "tooltip Group", the tooltip does not list all Groups which belong that entity.
Circle is a member of "Group-1" but also is part of "global" because "global" Named Group is a parent group and "Group-1" is one of its child group.
So in the tooltip, it should also appear "Global" as Groups.
If circle is also a member of another Named group, then it is OK but MicroStation does not take into account Parent groups...
2-In the "Named Group" dialog it would be interesting a new column next to "Selectable" maybe named "Selectable Parent group", so if we enable a parent group then in the column "Selectable" would enable it´s child groups.
Currently, if Selectable is ON in a parent group, the child groups are not selected, just own elements of the parent group.
If we select a Group in the drawing, then if we right-click of the mouse, the contextual menu should have a "Group" category with the options:
Add Elements
Remove Elements
Open Named Groups dialog.
Toggle Selectable.
AutoCAD has this for its Groups in the context menu and it is very useful.
Icons
Named Groups is a lot of confusing if some commands does not share the same button icon..
An example:
"Add Elements" button located in the "Named Groups" dialog should be the same icon that "Add To Graphic Group" button (located in Groups ToolBox)
"Remove Elements" button located in the "Named Groups" dialog should have the same icon that "Drop From "Graphic Group" button (located in Groups ToolBox)
The help guide is a little bit out of date. There are a lot of terms "QuickSet" "Graphic Group", etc... that could be named directly as Named Groups.
