Hi all,
As we now have GenerativeComponents included with OpenBuildings, OpenRoads, OpenSite and OpenRail Designer, and just recently OpenBridge Modeler, adding GenerativeComponents to Vanila Microstation seems like the next logical step.
Adding this to Microstation would supplement its 3d modeling capability and bring it into the world of Computational Design.
Hey Everyone, this is the sort of thing I'm also interested in nurturing. An easy way to build custom application extensions.
Some extensions can be built with visual scripting/line-node whilst others can be wrapped in a container the same way that iModel wraps files in ProjectWise.

I can't wait for this update. It's realy needful
Generative Components was always available on V8I. Why did the Connect Edition of MicroStation loose this functionality?
every modern cad needs its visual scripting environment :)
Generative Components was originally a MicroStation add-on when it was launched many years ago.

Hi Mark, we have plans to add GC to MicroStation in the future, it won't be in Update 15 but we are working on it. A parametric cell node is also in the plan.

Thanks Marco, that would be fantastic. Hopefully Update 16 ;)

It would be good to provide GC nodes for the new 2/3d Constraints and Parametric Solids tools in this future GC.Inside release.
