USGS data can be an important resource for design information, and the lack of support for this format hinders our ability to use it in design. The USGS produces a large amount of data that could be used by any company performing work in the United States. The USGS is not some small obscure company working with a rare, unknown data format. This is the United States Government, with information covering all 50 states.
