MicroStation CONNECT introduced Reports. It's a great technology. Reports let us harvest all kinds of DGN data from files, models and elements.

However, a single Report won't let us harvest data from multiple DGN files. Here's a simple example: I want to report on all cells defined in several cell libraries. Another, posed by a question in the MicroStation Forum, is where the user wants to report on the DGN units used by all DGN models in several files.

MicroStation help tells us that we can write a Report Definition that will search using a configuration variable. However, I have been unable to get that to work.
