In the current technology preview (MicroStation 2026) for importing PDF files, there is a configuration variable that sets whether the PDF file is imported as an image or as elements. Making that decision in a configuration variable locks most users into one or the other. It would be more useful to make that a toggle so that users can sometimes import an image and sometimes import elements. Both may be valid choices depending on the circumstances. Please modify the interface to make the PDF import mode selectable on the import dialog.
