As a CAD-Admin doing software packaging for deployment I can deselect Bentley components during /layout process, but although the delivered connection client usually is too old I cannot omit that (and other prereqs available in newer versions on any other machine anyways..). I want to keep the package lean and fast. Other Windows prereqs can be handled by our company elsewhere, and I also have a package for the newest CC which I include before any MicroStation deployment.
