We use cells that contain text fields, which are driven by item type properties that are attached to the cell. This workflow is required because we need not just the text displayed, but we need the metadata behind it for reporting purposes.

The risk with this workflow is that if a user needs to edit the information, while we train them to edit the metadata, there's still the possibility that they can use the Edit Text command to go into the text field, remove the text field, and place text manually. This causes the text displayed and the metadata to be out of sync.

I would like there to be an option to lock the text fields or general text that is within a cell so that after placing the cell, the user does not have the ability to edit the text or remove the text fields.
