Many companies (including Survey Companies) use AutoDesk Products. Whenever we request a utilities locate Survey, it is 99.9% of the time delivered in .dwg which is fine for visually loading/attaching to MicroStation (and OpenRoads etc.) but the problem is that it does not read the Very important Object Data (OD) that is included in the Polyline Properties. (see screenshot for more info). MicroStation (and OpenRoads etc.) "Should" be able to ready these important properties. Perhaps somehow converting it to Item Types on the fly or something. Exporting the .dwg to .shp and then importing that into MicroStation is not a valid or acceptable solution. Thanks :)
