Need to be able to search for text etc in multiple dgns from MS Explorer. This was possible with Dgn iFilter in V8i. Doesn't seem to be available for CE. Apparently the Indexing service has also been removed.

It would be good to provide robust means to allow fast searches for text and other annotation in dgns. Probably will need indexing to avoid having to start from scratch every time.

With AI, pretty much all the major authoring apps have LLM Copilots that aim to boost drawing, CAD drafter productivity. Basic word search would be expected. Searching based on text matching should have some smarts to recognise synonyms etc like Google etc in addition to old wildcards. Should also support regex.

Looking for Cells or components in libraries would also benefit. The drawings will have tables and notes that provide a lot more 'context' compared to the Cell file name.

Relying on users to manually tag or structure the information so that less sophisticated searching methods is wishful thinking, likely to lead to losses given the competition.
