A lot of tools have to define input/output folders. The Batch Convert tool is one example.

It would be good to re-jig the Directory History drop down to list the last folder viewed using any of the tools (stored in the UPF?) instead of the last folder where something was selected.

Selecting would mean that the user would need to select and include a file to make Mstn list the folder in the history. This leads to having to remove the file. Time waster.

Storing the last folder viewed centrally would also help productivity when the user progressed to the next tool. For example, moving to Batch Process after Batch Convert the user loses, is not offered the last folder path... and has to start again. Poor UX.
