Cell variations - pop up

I have been working in ACAD recently and their Dynamic blocks aka cells is awesome.

I know we have options for creating variations within a cell, but the way the users updates them via properties is clunky

In ACAD they have a little marker that a user can select and get a pop up with the variations.

I think MS should look at something similar
