Now that MS2025 has Google 3d. I was trying to create a design workflow where we MASK out an existing building and reference in our new proposed building. This would mean we can do photo realistic renderings of future sites with context around the site.
SADLY, if you use the clip mask volume tool. anything in its path is wiped out. Thus a reference files will never be able to display in the masked zone.
We really do need a working solution for this

Voted - Note you can clip Google 3D mapping by creating a new model space, reference this into your working area and clip this through the reference manager. It's a fairly easy work around but it is extra steps.
Completely agree with this. In its current form, Google 3D provides nothing more than a reference guide - but should be usable as a physical context model that can be clipped to accept planned development.
