Accudraw Shortcut Zen

Working in 3d usually means navigating between three coordinate systems of planes*.

  1. View

  2. Stored reference planes (ACS)

  3. Element reference planes (faces, Cell local coord systems, edges, vertices)

Accudraw's Compass provides a fourth dynamic reference plane that sets up the placement of new elements, and modifications of existing elements.

Long time users will be familar with moving between the four systems, and dont even think about it, focusing on the task at hand. Its always impressive to watch an experienced user work so fluidly and quickly on screen.

The problem is that there are 'shortcuts' that are missing that require the user to 'drop out of warpspeed' and manually chain together commands to get to where he wants. See items in red, pdf attached. Some of the commands are available but there are some that are not.

Closing this 'circle' will boost one Mstns' best pioneering UX areas and 3d modeling productivity, generally.
