As you are aware, when a user uses MS or any other Bentley software, it creates a series of folders in the users appdata folders it does so in two locations :

%localappdata%\Bentley\microstation\24.0.0 %localappdata%\Temp\Bentley\microstation\24.0.0

We have a situation where the IT department will delete the TEMP folders, as it is generally used as a dumping ground for unwanted folders aka TEMP.

This causes us an issue with the Bentley user profiles because the 24.0.0 folder is no longer in place and sometimes a new 24.0.0.1 folder is created, which subsequently create a new 24.0.0.1 folder in the local folder, thus the user preferences are no longer valid.

Can I request that future builds of Bentley software reframe from using TEMP folder
