In the reference file dialog while using ProjectWise, the File Name column reports a path pointing to the local PW working directory cache, for example, PW_WORKDIR:dms55360\. This is great, but I also would like to know where in the PW database is the 55360 folder located. Get MicroStation (and ORD, ... etc.) to report where this file is in local cache (fully expanded) and full path in the PW location.
Additionally, it would be helpful if the reference file dialog would have a right-click context menu for each reference file whereby a menu selection would:
open the PW folder in the ProjectWise Explorer,
open the folder in the local PW_workdir location, and
produce a CSV delimited listing of all attached files with slot number and full path location for either local or database path.
Unfortunately, there can be copies of the same filename in an Archive folder, or Milestone submittal folders, so you may see in the dialog the correct filename, but it's really cumbersome to know where the attached file is located in the PW database.
Furthermore, it would be nice if PW Explorer had a lookup whereby you could supply the dms folder number and it would bring you to it.
For searching the DMS folder number, this can be down utilizing ProjectWise's advanced search, the Search Builder option. This will allow you to search by folder/work area and you can specify the criteria of FolderID. If you insert the numbers from your example above as "*55360*", it should give you the folder that file is in. You usually don't need to use the wildcards in the search, but I personally do this out of habit.
For everything else in this idea, I think this would be a fantastic QoL feature.
