There are a few functions in the View tab of the Ribbon Band and the View Control Bar that are obsolete and unnecessarily occupy space in the user interface:

• Window Area

• Zoom Out

• Zoom In

• Update View

With the introduction of the mouse wheel about 30 years ago they are no longer needed (at least I can hard'ly remember having used them). The display also refreshes perfectly making the update function obsolete.

These functions have no place in a modern application and should be hidden by default.
