Hello everyone,
Why not integrate a notion of phasing into the drawings? Currently, to represent 10 phases of a construction site, I draw on 10 different models. The idea would be to draw everything on the same model. I admit that this is a feature that should be used more in BIM software. But I am not equipped with it and what I am going to propose below is not inspired by it at all because I do not even know how it works on these BIM software. And I imagine that this idea is not going to be easy to integrate.
1 / In the properties of each object, there should be a list of checkboxes (Phase 1, 2, etc.)
2 / Add a phase manager. Possibility of adding dates for each phase.
3 / In the visualization tools on the banner of each view, add a choice of phase to show in the view.
4 / In the visualization tools on the banner of each view, add a play button, or even a record button to scroll through the phases according to the dates entered in the manager.
5 / Recording will allow you to export the animation.
6 / During playback, add the dates that scroll on the view.
7 / The phase manager must allow you to export the schedule (exel or project).
I know that there are already other ways to do this. Like creating a drawing per phase or creating an animation. But the first solution does not allow you to visualize the sequence of phases. And creating an animation is quite long and complicated.
