Knowing the mass of the part that we have drawn allows us to plan the handling means. Allows us to make calculations of the resistance of materials. Can also allow us to quickly calculate costs if we know the price per kilo.
This information can be used by everyone, all designers.
There could be a density parameter added in the material editor. For any part drawn, we know its volume. Assigning or assigning a material to it then allows us to know its mass. The mass can finally be displayed in the Geometry properties, just below the volume.
Selecting an assembly of parts could also give its total mass, whatever the diversity of materials used.
