If you open Level Manager and left click at the Line Style you will see both the number and the appearance for standard Line Styles (non Custom Linestyles). You may also check the printerdriver configuration (.pltcfg) to review/edit the Line Style patterns for printing. PS: I dont know why Bentley have removed the Line Style number in the Attributes drop down menu ...bothe the number and the apperance is visible in V8i!
