Mstn has a Sheet Index, which keeps track of models used as sheets. Could this be extended to other models used as Cells?
Not sure if Dgn Indexing Service is still available. ProjectWise has its Component Indexing.
Not sure what the new Auto-update Parametric Cells tool uses.
User defines a cellws via Project Explorer.
User defines a Model, Cell or Element(s) which is to be associatively copied. The Model, Cell or Element(s) may also be 'associatively copied' from a Ref attachment.
The Model, Cell, Element(s) are copied to the cellws, and the originating model is indexed. The active ACS can be used to adjust the coordinate system. The Associative Copy tool assigns a call back dependency to the Model, Cell or Element(s) link to the cellws.
When element(s) are selected they are saved as a Model in the cellws, which can be placed as a Point, Shared, Graphic or Parametric Cell.
When the associatively copied Model, Cell or Element(s) are modified, the cellws is updated using the call back, and the index updated.
When the associatively copied Cells are nested in another Cell, a call back updates the indexing service, cellws.
When the user loads a dgn, Mstn looks up the cellws and indicates which associatively copied Cells, elements etc are out of synch in a Cell Index tab in Project Explorer. Tool and Config Var to auto-update, list for manual update by Cell Name, Description.
Could also be leveraged by the Auto-update Parametric Cells tool?
