CVE processing takes quite a long time. For large files, the processing can hang or crash. Forward view processing often takes the lions share of the processing time.
It would be good to have predefined settings for near and mid (5m, 20m) with far the remaining distance based on the View Clip volume.
Processing the cut plane can already be done independently for the Forward view. First to be processed and saved.
Near: Process from cut plane up to the predefined distance (5m) and save.
Mid: Process from the 'near' plane up to the predefined Mid distance (5-10m) and save.
Far / Outside: Process from the 'Mid' plane (10m+) and save.
Addtional setting to allow the user to adjust the method (Exact/Fast, accuracy, intersections etc) for each segment. The Mid and Far / Outside segments could be downgraded to minimise processing times.
