During the lifetime of a project with so many offices involved, we are going to use references for the project itself, however as the project goes forward we get updates for the references and some times are too many files. In working files we would have for instance X:\ProjectNo\Ref\ARC\GR\Index_01\Level_FF_01.dgn, a few time later we get and update and now file is X:\ProjectNo\Ref\ARC\GR\Index_02\Level_FF_01.dgn, and so on.

That would mean that we have to update our working files (each one) to the new version and that would be time consuming task. For this simple matter just to have a Tool the can be choose to replace "Saved Path" and Replace with the new Path. In V8I we use sometimes Variables, however at the time to export or certain deliveries, especially for exporting on DWG, we need to change variable Paths to Relative Paths. Currently in CONNECT the Variables are not working. I believe it should not be neccesary (at least in current times) to now programing to make this simple task but for sure sometimes can take so much time for users.

So in just this sample, I should change at least the path of 6 references in my working files, and for sure, in my current experiences have been a couple of small projects that have less than 20 references used, so to update references on same order, keeping descriptions and/or logical names, takes a lot of time.
